Take your mask-wearing style up several notches! With Rachel’s guidance in this two-class series, create a gorgeous wool mask, perfect for the winter! In the first class, learn to create colorful wool ‘fabric’ using wet-felting techniques. In the second class, learn how to turn the ‘fabric’ into a stylish mask.
Rachel is a fiber artist focusing predominately on the subject of nature both in the form of landscapes and abstract designs. She captures the details and textures found in the natural world with a whimsical twist.
She’s been teaching fiber arts locally for several years and now continues with Zoom!
This class is welcome to anyone aged 15 and up. If anyone is interested in this project, but there is a time conflict, Rachel is happy to record the class.
This class is best taken as a two-class series:
2/16 wet felting your ‘fabric.’
2/23 sewing your mask using the created felted ‘fabric’ (lining, nosepiece and straps provided). Sewing machine highly recommended, but not necessary.
First class $33, second class $30, if you take both classes $53.
All supplies for the class (except needle and thread) will be in a kit available for outdoor pick up in front of Fivesparks on Sunday 2/14. Drop off delivery to your home or mailing is an option for an additional charge.
