During the first year of the Warner Free Lecture Series, drama critic Henry Austin Clapp (1841-1904) came to Harvard to present scenes from Shakespeare’s “The Merchant of Venice” and “Henry IV.” As part of our anniversary year, local playwright David Nanto will share his experience writing “Much Ado About Love,” a romantic comedy crafted from the verses of 24 Shakespeare plays and sonnets. Along with Nanto’s presentation, local actors will read scenes from the play that remind us of the Bard’s timeless insights into the highs and lows of love.
