Preservation starts with small things: A collection of nature-inspired print artworks.
Painter and printmaker, Harvard resident Pam Lawson shares her unique monotype prints created with oil-based etching inks. These beautiful pieces are almost exclusively based on decades observing the lands surrounding Doe Orchards, including Bowers Brook and a wide marsh that borders the back of the orchard.
Annie Catterson of Concord, MA is also inspired by nature, with a greater emphasis on Native North American legends. Although she works in many mediums, her predominant focus is on wood-cut relief prints. The detail transferred from the carved wood and obtained in the prints is breathtaking.
Preservation is on view from Tuesday, April 12 – Friday, May 13. An Artist Reception, open to the public, will be held at Fivesparks on Sunday, May 1, 3-5pm.
