Saturdays will offer hands-on demos by various artists, where visitors can drop-in to try a wide variety of art techniques, media and projects.
Drop-in, no registration required. However, arriving at the beginning of the 2-hour block is recommended as most programs are structured.

STAMP-MAKING AND PRINTING with Maggie Smith
Meet Maggie Smith, author and illustrator of dozens of colorful picture books, who grew up in Harvard and returned here five years ago. She also enjoys painting and printmaking – the technique she’ll be demonstrating today.
Maggie will show you how she makes her whimsical stamps from carving rubber, highlighting techniques and proper use of carving tools. Then she’ll help those old enough to carve and print their own simple designs. Younger kids can make their stamps with adhesive foam.
