In this session, Gillian Ansell of the New Zealand String Quartet will explore some warming up procedures for string players, with basic stretches to prepare the muscles before playing and a few simple Qi Gong movements to be done together with participants. . This will be followed by tips for some simple exercises for violinists and violists with emphasis on setting yourself up for physically easeful playing.
