Enjoy the rewarding experience of creating art out-of-doors in Harvard, Massachusetts. The Plein Air workshop breaks down the four walls and takes you to four beautiful Harvard Conservation Trust sites. Be a part of this unique experience capturing nature’s ephemeral light and translating your insights into art. This four-week series will take you to varying locations to ensure that you experience different scenes, light and textures. At the end of the series, the Harvard Cultural Collaborative will celebrate with an exhibition of artists’ selected works, co-sponsored with the Harvard Conservation Trust.
All levels of artists are encouraged to participate from beginner to professional. Work in the medium of your choice: sketching, pastel, watercolor, oil, acrylic, or photography. Artists work independently; local resident Gwen Leonard will be an advisor and monitor at all sessions. Limited to 10 participants.
4-Date Series (all Fridays):

Gwen Leonard bio:
Gwen moved to Harvard in 2017. She was born and raised in New York where she studied at The Art Students League of New York for over fifteen years. There she studied life drawing, anatomy, print making, watercolor, color theory, oil painting, and composition with Michael Burban, Frank Mason, Frederick Wong, Michael Ponce de Léon and many other great teachers.
