INHERITANCE
: the acquisition of a trait from past generations
: a valuable possession that is a common heritage from nature
INHERITANCE is a joint show between Sebastian Ambrus Kiss and Mercedes Lucia Kiss, father and daughter. It is a conversation between their styles, subjects, and stories. The pieces – many being shown to the public for the first time – span oceans and landscapes, figures and fantasies, an immigration and a generation.
For the Kisses, art and architecture distinguish their ancestry. Creative expression was the first communication, the native language. Artistry is the energy coursing through the family tree, and their creations bond the branches.
