Fivesparks, in collaboration with the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, presents an interactive music event, showcasing Amanda Emenecker, who was selected as one of two performers to bring music to the community for the first of two Midwinter Music events. The second event will be held Sunday, February 21, at 3:00pm.
Amanda Emenecker is a Boston-based cellist and private instructor. She has performed around the United States and abroad in Italy, and has played in masterclasses for renowned musicians including Noreen Polera and Hans Jørgen Jensen. She is currently finishing her Master of Music in Cello Performance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she studies with Rhonda Rider. Originally from Florida, Amanda earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from the University of South Florida while studying cello with Scott Kluksdahl. Passionate about teaching and performing as a soloist, Amanda is also particularly interested in contemporary music, chamber music, and social justice with a focus in mental health advocacy.
PROGRAM:
