Painting with wool has become a popular class taught by Rachel Benson. This month, follow her guidance to create a full moon ‘painting’ using wet and needle-felting techniques.
Rachel is a fiber artist focusing predominately on the subject of nature both in the form of landscapes and abstract designs. She captures the details and textures found in the natural world with a whimsical twist. Join her in this class where you will learn the basics or further your skills of needle felting.
This is a two-part class that will be held via Zoom. Adults and teens over 12 yrs and up are welcome. If anyone is interested in this project, but there is a time conflict, Rachel is happy to record the class.
The first class (3/8) will teach you wet-felting skills to create your felted wool ‘fabric.’
The second class (2/22) will be for needle-felting scenery and details to our wet-felted fabric base.
All supplies for the class will be in a kit available for outdoor pick up in front of Fivesparks on Sunday 3/7. $46 for the class and supplies. Extra $5 if you also need felting needles and foam. Drop off delivery to your home or mailing is an option for an additional charge.
