The sheer size of the Grand Canyon can overwhelm the senses. The majestic Arizona park can be up to 18 miles wide in some parts, and one mile deep. Imagine taking the experience of visiting the Grand Canyon and trying to capture it all with just a single cello.
An Artist-in-Residence (AiR) at both Grand Canyon and Petrified Forest National Parks, cellist Rhonda Rider plays and talks about pieces inspired by birds, petroglyphs, and the landscape of the Southwest.
WBUR’s Radio Boston interviews Rhonda in 2011.
