Gwen Leonard was a professional ballet dancer with several companies including the Stuttgart Ballet Company and North Carolina Dance Theater. She received her training at the American Ballet Theatre scholarship program which included cross training in all dance disciplines, e.g. jazz, modern, as well as yoga and Pilates. Gwen has taught dances, conditioning, and stretching to all ages from toddlers to adults. She most recently taught figure skaters focusing on strengthening muscles groups, increasing flexibility, and improving performance beauty including balletic line, arm movement and musicality.
For this fusion class Gwen’s philosophy is to provide an enjoyable environment where students learn to safely align their bodies in order to improve their strength, balance, and flexibility.
